Project kick-off event in Karos

A project kick-off event was held within the framework of the 'Future in Hemp' action plan on September 15 in Karos. As a result of the sub-project, a plant suitable for industrial hemp processing will be established in the village of Karos, housing a machine line for processing industrial hemp, thus creating job opportunities and the possibility of producing marketable goods for the locals.
Mr János Dakos, Mayor of Karos, and Dr Richárd Hörcsik, MP, gave welcome speeches at the event. After the greetings, Mr György Molnár, the Director of National Integration and Carpathian Basin Network Development at the Research Institute for National Strategy presented the concept of constructing a connected industrial hemp economy in the Carpathian Basin. Next, Mr Zsolt Pásztor, the Agribusiness development officer of the Research Institute for National Strategy, explained the possibilities of growing and processing industrial hemp, as well as the relating action plan.
